Announcement
We have two important changes for you to know about.
First is that our newsletter is shifting over to a "shareware" format. Our desire in creating the newsletter was to have an avenue for crystallizing and sharing our knowledge
about the World Wide Web and specifically how to use search engines to get web pages found.
It takes considerable time to gather and convey the information in the newsletter. We had hoped that $35 per year from a large group of people would be adequate compensation for
the monthly publication. We have had a good number of sign ups to the newsletter, a number that grows weekly. We have not had many folks actually pay. To those of you that have to thank you! We encourage the
rest of you receiving value from the Newsletter to put in your 3500 cents worth.
Rather than suspend most of the people on the list we really want it to grow. Writing the articles is a great thing for us; as professionals we continue to learn, share and grow. We
want to keep this newsletter going. Still, we are working for a living here and have mouths to feed. The core business here is to make web sites that work and we help get them found by your audience, that is what
people pay us to do.
So we have what we think is a happy compromise, information shareware! We are going to keep putting it out there because it is good information and we believe information is the basic
value of the internet. If you choose to send in $35 to support something you receive value from, please do.
To make this work energetically and financially possible for us, The Search Engine Laisha Letter will be moving to a quarterly publication schedule. This way we can meet the needs of
our customers, gathering our information from real world experience, and then pass it on to you.
